What is innovation? The definition from dictionary “The process of translating an idea or invention into a good or service that creates value for which customers will pay”, with kasi definition, “creating something with your hands”.
All these definitions about innovation are true and correct but in our world of science and Technology innovation is “new idea, device or method or application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs”.
Geekulcha open for innovators? Yes, No, Maybe? The correct answer is Yes, Geekulcha has hosted many hackathons which are part of innovation capacity building programme, with the recent one was Cyber Security, SafeHack (18 - 17 March 2017) which took place at The Innovation Hub (SA).
As one knows that the world is shifting or moving from analog to digital where many things are done with the single click of a button, it could be your smartphone (bank transitions), desktop computer or laptop.
All this operation contain virtual information about companies, that is why Geekulcha in partnership with various companies saw the need that SA Cyber Security need to be upgraded, that is innovation the group of young and old minds come together and tackle the issue using different strategies.
